How and why did your ancestors migrate to Victoria? What prompted them to leave their friends and relations behind and travel halfway around the world to a possible unknown future? Come along to a seminar where we will examine these questions and explore how you can find the resources to help you better research your family history. 

The topics to be explored will include:

Why did they come?                      What schemes brought migrants to Victoria?
What happened on the voyage?     What were their initial experiences on arrival?
Case studies to guide your own research

Beverages:     Tea, coffee and water will be available
Lunch:           Bring your own lunch
