Victoria and Tasmania Discussion Circle

Convener: Jackie van Bergen and Janine Wood

Catherine Meyrick will discuss researching and writing her book Cold Blows the Wind, which is based on a period in the lives of her great-great-grandparents, Sarah Ellen Thompson and Henry Watkins Woods.
Harry, newly arrived in Hobart Town from Western Australia, had come to help his aging father, a former convict and real-life legendary figure, often called ‘the Old Man of the Mountain’,  who had guided climbers on Mt Wellington for over twenty years.

The Victoria and Tasmania Discussion Circle is for GSV members researching their family history in these two States. This meeting will take place on Zoom, and registrants will receive an email with the Zoom link.
The Circle will meet on the fourth Friday of each month, 10.30 am to 12.00pm, unless otherwise stated.
